Ed in ‘08 Promotes Two Million Minutes on YouTube

I checked in with Bob Compton a few days ago to see how things are going with Two Million Minutes, the education documentary he produced.

Bob told me that now that he has partnered with Ed in ‘08 (a nonpartisan project promoting Strong American Schools–watch the short video on the home page!) to promote 2MM, he and the movie have hit the campaign trail.  He’ll be at screenings in DC, Chicago, Indianapolis, NYC, Boston, and LA in the coming weeks to stir up conversation about the way we “do” education in the US compared to the way it’s being done in China and India.

And I was delighted to hear that Ed in ‘08 has included a clip of Two Million Minutes on its YouTube page.

The more people talk about education, the more likely it is that our candidates will, too.  And we’re going to need our new president to REALLY be “the education president”–there’s no time for lip service.

Bottom line:  to get the education revolution rolling, we’ve got to start talking very openly about what our culture values, how we view learning, and the global education our students need to prepare for the future.  Two Million Minutes is the perfect launching pad for the essential conversations we need to have.

Thanks, Bob.
